Hunky Josh Lucas (Undertow, Sweet Home Alabama) was spotted in Yorkville today strolling about with his Publicist at around 6:30 PM. Alas, even Lucas could not hide from my 20x lens, although he was nice enough to stop for a moment to take a picture together v. quickly. The irony - I just met his lovely ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams the other day too.
Lucas will be premiering his new film Daydream Nation tomorrow at Ryerson Theatre. The Michael Goldbach film (his debut) also stars Kat Dennings (Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist), Reece Thompson and Andie MacDowell. It is about a teenage girl who moves to a small town where she must adapt to her new surroundings. A serial killer is lurks and preys on young victims, while her peers seem to be stoned perpetually. I'll be attending the premiere tomorrow and will be sure to post a review soon.
